Descendants of Charles Jones and Charlotta Amelia Davis
Carl Jonsson Klang born 13 May 1826 in Målilla, Kalmar län, Sweden. Emigrated in 1852. He was the first of the 7 children to immigrate to Jamestown, New York, where he anglicized his name to Charles Jones. He died at the age of 87 on 29 Jan 1914 in Warren, Pennsylvania.
Charlotta Amelia Davoust born 6 Dec 1832 in Ödeshög soken, Östergötlands län, Sweden to soldier Johan Davoust and Maja Ericsdotter. Immigrated in 1854 with her younger brother Johan to Jamestown, New York. She died at the age of 93 on 28 Mar 1926 in Warren, Pennsylvania.
They married 19 Apr 1856 probably in Jamestown, New York.

- Jamestown, Chautauqua County, New York from 1852 and 1854 to 1862-1864

- Mary Amelia (Jones) Erickson born 8 Mar 1857 in Jamestown, New York and died at age 76 in 1933 in Warren, Pennsylvania. She married Alfred Erickson in 1878 and had five children.
- Alfred Edward Jones born 6 Mar 1859 in Jamestown, New York and died at age 89 in 1947 in Warren, Pennsylvania. Alfred seems to have been disabled in some manner. Both his father and siblings' wills leave money to take care of Alfred rather than include him as part of division of the inheritance.

He worked in the timber industry as a sawyer and grader in Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana. It appears that he was estranged from his father based on the will of Charles Jones which mentions Frank and his residence in Louisiana but was unknowing of Frank's earlier death. Frank Jones was married to Mary Pitkin (not Swedish) and had four children.
- Richard Theodore Jones born 21 Jun 1866 in Chandlers Valley, Pennsylvania and died at age 89 in 1956 in North Warren, Warren County, Pennsylvania. Richard worked with horses and his experience was the foundation of the later circuses, although his participation in the business was limited. He married Harriet Spencer (not Swedish) and had one son.
- John Augustus Jones born 13 Sep 1868 in Chandlers Valley, Pennsylvania and died at age 49 in Sep 1918 in Warren, Pennsylvania. He married Martha Nicolay (not Swedish) and adopted two children. See J. Augustus Jones
- Caroline Jenett (Jones) Johnson born 30 Oct 1870 in Chandlers Valley, Pennsylvania and died at age 84 in 1955 in Warren, Pennsylvania. She married Joseph Johnson in 1898 and had two children. After her husband's death about 1920 she married Ole C. Olson in 1927.
- Elmer Harman Jones born 24 Mar 1873 in Chandlers Valley, Pennsylvania and died at age 89 in 1962 in North Warren, Pennsylvania. He married Burma Russell (not Swedish) and had three children. See Elmer H. Jones.
- Alexander C. Jones born 27 Feb 1876 in Chandlers Valley, Pennsylvania and died at age 83 in 1959 in North Warren, Pennsylvania. He married Elta Marie Chrisman (not Swedish) and had two sons.
- Emma Charlotte Jones born 10 Aug 1878 in Chandlers Valley, Pennsylvania and died as a child of five years in 1884 in Chandlers Valley, Pennsylvania.
Jones,
Charles, Chandler's Valley P.O., Sugar Grove, was born in Sweden, May
30, 1826, and was a son of Klineg - such being the name given him by
the king when he became a soldier of the State, his family name being
Samuel - Jones. Charles immigrated to America May 6, 1852, being
eight weeks on the passage in a sailing vessel, and settled in
Jamestown, N.Y. In 1856 he married Charlotte Davis, who was born in
Sweden in 1832. They have had a family of nine children - Alfred,
Frank, Richard, John, Elmer, Elisha, Mary Amelia, Elnora Carrie, and
Janet. Mr. Jones was a tailor by trade, but became a butcher and
farmer. His parents had a family of twelve children, four sons and
three daughters of whom came to America, and five are now living -
Charles, Frank, Augustus, Carrie and Lovisa. Augustus was a soldier
in the late war, and was wounded, losing an arm, for which he
receives a pension.
